Menstrual Health Management training in Home Bay, Kenya

In June, we conducted a two-day training on Menstrual Health Management and the use of the menstrual cup in Homa Bay in Kenya. The training participants were 29 Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) youth advocates from Homa Bay County and the trainers included FHOK trained staff and WoMena staff.

On the 3rd day, the participants practiced the menstrual cup curriculum at FHOK’s youth centre in Makongeni, Homa Bay and heard from previous participants who have used their cups since December 2018. The youth advocates are already trying out their new cups and are more than ready to spread the word about the menstrual cup in their communities! WoMena and FHOK are super proud of the newly trained menstrual cup Champions!

WoMena has also set up a WhatsApp group where questions are raised, and most of them are answered by the participants themselves.
