New project with Reden / The Nest International
WoMena has recently commenced a partnership with Nest International, an independent private institution that supports foreign sex workers in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The partners will over 6 months pilot introduction of menstrual cups among the beneficiaries of the Nest with the overall objective of assessing the women’s acceptability of the method. The main sub-goals include providing education on basic hygiene, the menstrual cycle, and menstrual health management and identifying at least 10 women who are willing to test the cup and participate in the project. WoMena and the Nest envision that the project will increase the women’s awareness and knowledge of their body as well as personal health and hygiene related to menstruation.
This project is funded by Soroptimist Varde and the menstrual cups are donated by OrganiCup.
