Join our Board of Directors!

Are you interested in improving Menstrual Health Management in Uganda?

If so, we extend a warm invitation to you to explore a pivotal role as a Board Member with WoMena Uganda. Join us in this journey of transformation and empowerment as we continue to make a positive impact on reproductive health in Uganda and beyond.

About WoMena Uganda

At WoMena, our core mission revolves around fostering transformative change in reproductive health. We promote evidence-based, effective reproductive health technologies and innovative solutions.

WoMena has been at the forefront of public health innovation since its establishment in 2012. Our primary focus lies in revolutionizing menstrual health management through innovative solutions. We have cultivated expertise in menstrual cup research and interventions in East Africa, establishing ourselves as one of the leading organizations in the region dedicated to menstrual cups and menstrual health.

Over the years, WoMena has conducted three pivotal research studies, addressing the acceptability, hygiene, and safety of menstrual cups. Our commitment to advancing the field of menstrual health extends to strategic collaborations with esteemed academic partners, including the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Medical Research Council Uganda/Uganda Virus Institute, and Mbarara University of Science and Technology.

In addition to our research initiatives, WoMena has successfully designed and executed menstrual health interventions in collaboration with various partners in Uganda. These endeavors have allowed us to make tangible improvements in the menstrual health landscape in the region.

We are currently undergoing a significant transformation. WoMena is evolving into a local non-governmental organization (NGO) in Uganda, and we aspire to operate as a local entity. As part of this transition, we are actively seeking Ugandan board members to provide their support and expertise to the new version of our organization, while our commitment to the mission remains.
