Menstrual Health Management in Gulu schools

About:

The project seeks to improve the Menstrual Health Management (MHM) knowledge, attitudes and practices in two selected Save the Children International Primary schools, Awach P7 and Pagik Primary schools near Gulu, Northern Uganda. 

WoMena is responsible for both conducting and supporting MHM trainings and distributions of the CleanCup menstrual cup to beneficiaries. Save the Children International provides WoMena with project support and funding throughout the pilot.

Objectives:

  • Provide students, female relatives, teachers, the wider community, including males, as well as local SCI and partner organisational staff with comprehensive menstrual health education

  • Provide menstrual cups as an alternative menstrual health management method to selected beneficiaries
